Feedback

Root's inbox for what people send with Send feedback: reading it, marking it handled, deleting it, and how long it is kept.

Describes Ronne AI Marketplace 0.6.0.

Feedback

Feedback, in root's links in the sidebar, is the inbox for what people send with Send feedback: a Problem, an Idea, a Question or Praise. It goes to the instance's administrators and nowhere else. A number beside the link counts the messages still new.

  • The list. Each row has who sent it (name and email, so you can write back), its kind, the start of the message, the page they were on, the app's version, its status and when it was sent. Newest first; sort by kind or time from the headers, search the message, the name or the email, filter by kind and status, and show 25, 50 or 100 a page. The view is in the address, so it can be linked.
  • Open a message with the eye at the end of the row for all of it, kept as written, with its line breaks. It is plain text: nothing in it is ever run or formatted.
  • Status. A message is New until someone marks it Handled. Select one or several rows (or Select all on this page) and choose Mark handled; only the selected rows change.
  • Delete removes the selected messages for good, after asking. The sender is not told.
  • The audit log records each message marked handled or deleted (feedback.handled, feedback.deleted; filter by feedback.*) with its id, never the text. Sending isn't recorded.
  • Privacy. A message can hold personal data. It is in the sender's data download and deleted when their account is erased, and handled messages are deleted after a time root sets (365 days by default); see Retention. Messages still new are kept until someone handles or deletes them.
